Steel tip darts are the most popular choice among dart players and are primarily used on sisal and flocked dartboards. These darts feature a sharp steel point, which provides excellent grip in the dartboard.
Most steel tip darts are made from tungsten, a material that has similar properties to aluminium but is more economical to produce. A higher tungsten percentage in the dart results in a slimmer design, making it easier to place three darts in the triple twenty. Professional dart players often prefer darts with a high tungsten percentage as it enhances their accuracy and performance during matches.
