Best darts brands: which brand suits you?

17 October 2026 by

Which darts brand is the best? That depends on what you are looking for: an affordable first set, a player model from your favourite professional or a board that lasts for years. In this overview we line up the brands from our range so you can compare more effectively.

What should you look for in a brand?

A brand is only right for you if it suits your level and playing style. Beginners mainly look for solid material at a fair price. More advanced players pay attention to barrel profile, grip, coating and the available weights. A brand with a wide range has another advantage: you can grow within the same line, from entry-level darts to premium tungsten.

Bull's

Bull's is our biggest brand, with a wide range for every budget. You will find entry-level brass models such as the Charge Yellow Brass Steeltip, but also tungsten player models such as the Max Hopp E5 CP Steeltip 90%. There are also shafts, flights and board accessories, so you can put together a complete set from the same brand. Bull's also releases the L-Style flights, including the series by Christel Timmermans.

Target

Target is a British brand with a strong focus on grip, finish and modern designs. You will find models from players such as Adrian Lewis, Beau Greaves and Luke Littler, like the Luke Littler 90% Swiss and the Beau Greaves G1 90% Swiss. Target also has a large range of flights and shafts, such as the Pro Grip series. If you want to fine-tune your setup precisely, there is plenty of choice here.

Shot

Shot is a brand from New Zealand with a recognisable style and many player series. The range runs from affordable tungsten darts such as the Birds of Prey Osprey 80% to high-quality models with 95% tungsten. Shot also offers softtip darts, flights and accessories.

Unicorn

Unicorn is a classic name in the world of darts. You will find player models such as the Callan Rydz P2 90%, but also cheap brass darts from players such as Cameron Menzies and Ross Smith. That makes the brand interesting if you want a well-known player dart without spending a lot straight away.

Mission

Mission is a modern brand with plenty of variety in barrel shapes and grip zones. The range includes player models such as the Devon Petersen RP Steeltip 95% and the Astro RP Steeltip 95%. The brand suits players who already know which shape and grip they are looking for.

Winmau

Winmau is best known for its dartboards. With us you will find the Winmau Blade 6 Dual Core and the Blade 6 Triple Core PDC. Also take a look at the full category dartboards.

Which brand suits your level?

For beginners, a solid mid-range set is often enough. Bull's and Shot have plenty of options between entry level and tungsten, and Unicorn offers affordable brass darts. More advanced players tend to compare Target, Mission and the premium models from Shot and Bull's, where details such as grip, coating and balance play a role. A more expensive dart is not always better for you: if you are still working on your technique, you often cannot make use of the differences yet.

How to compare smartly

  1. First choose the product type: darts, board, flights, shafts or accessories.
  2. Decide on your weight and barrel shape. For this, read which weight of darts to choose.
  3. Only then compare the brands within your requirements.
  4. Just getting started? Then read which darts to choose as a beginner.
